FAQ

ESB Reman is a service specialised in the repair and reconditioning of electronic control units (ECUs) for commercial vehicles. Its mission is to offer efficient, sustainable and cost-effective solutions to avoid the need for replacing electronic components with new ones. This initiative is a collaboration between two industry leaders: Cojali S. L. and Knorr-Bremse.

The ESB REMAN platform offers a catalogue of more than 1,100 ECU references , including:

  • Engine systems
  • Brakes (ABS/EBS)
  • Suspension
  • Transmission
  • Emission control
  • Climate control
  • Instrument cluster and more

Reconditioning an ECU offers multiple benefits:

  • Significant economic savings
  • Electronic waste reduction
  • Reduced downtime
  • Quality assured through advanced technology
  • Customised service for workshops and fleets

We use the Jaltest ESB ECU simulation bench, an advanced diagnostics tool that allows simulating real vehicle conditions and ensuring that the unit works optimally before being sent back to the customer.

If it is not possible to repair the unit, we will notify you with a technical assessment.

The price varies according to the unit and the type of failure.

Our process promotes the circular economy, reduces electronic waste and minimises the need for manufacturing new parts, which reduces the overall environmental impact of the automotive sector.

Each ECU is subjected to a series of functional electronic tests to verify its performance, stability and compatibility with the vehicle. The aim is to ensure the delivery of a product in 100% operational condition.
